LeWeb’11 Official Bloggers’ Behind The Scenes Visit

The day before LeWeb big start (therefore yesterday, December 6), a small group among the 80 Official Bloggers selected by the conference organizers this year to spread the word across the worldwide social Web, were given a personalized tour of the facilities by Geraldine and Loic Le Meur.

This is a long video clip aimed to give you a feeling of the experience we shared and that YOU, Official bloggers and online friends, are more than welcome to share again. However, you may select and jump directly to one of this entry points:

  • 0’51″ – LeWeb Plenary Room, Pullman Building – 400 workers, a brand new stage, mobile demos, big TV production crews, deluxe chairs, a 50,000 euros Internet pipeline, a new workshop space, the Google worshop, etc.
  • 7’29 – Speaker Lounge – Here we really are « behind the scenes ». Loic Le Meur talks about the crazy minute-by-minute scripting, with 5 mn sessions one after the other, and the facility that was designed to handle that.
  • 10’10″ – LeWeb Studio – This is where Leo Laporte and the TWiT TV team have set their high tech video studio sponsored by IBM. Forget about « small is beautiful »! :-)
  • 14’14 – The Media Lounge (in fact, the Bloggers Lounge) where Loic shares a personal story from last year when he was giving an interview in this room while the scheduled speaker was missing on the main stage :-)
  • 15’47 – Loic congratulates the The Bloggers Program team, namely Stephanie Booth, Frédéric De Villamil and Arne Hulstein – who selected 80 bloggers out of 200 candidates. In facts, everybody would like to attend LeWeb from free, says Le meur, even journalists who had not the chance to be part of the 300 accredited ones…
  • 20’15 – LeWeb Startup Competition – The visit comes to an end with the Startup Competition – a feature that Loic is especially proud of. Finally he will share with us his vision and his own answer to this fundamental question: what is the meaning of LeWeb? ;-)
